Music for Good Health

The Problem We Solve
Residents in assisted living and nursing homes suffer social and sensory isolation, leading to decline in their physical, cognitive and emotional health.
We aim to use a love for music to address these problems and create a positive and enriching musical experience for seniors to enjoy.
Why Music Enrichment?
Physical, Cognitive and Emotional Benefits

Physical
Music enrichment has been shown to produce improvements in blood pressure, heart rate, muscle tension, and fatigue levels.

Cognitive
Emotional
Many studies have shown that music enrichment has positive effects on memory-related issues, such as dementia and Alzheimer's disease. These ailments are especially prevalent among older populations, making music enrichment a very effective, non-pharmacological form of treatment.
Music enrichment, often performed in groups, promotes connections between members and improves individual mental health, stress levels, and aids in coping with trauma, among other benefits.
