What is music enrichment?Music enrichment is the use of music to increase personal wellness such as reducing stress, improving mood, and encouraging self-expression. Music enrichment involves activities like listening to music, singing, playing instruments, dancing, and composing music. Music enrichment is using music therapeutically, in the style and intent of Music Therapy. Because we are not licensed Music Therapists, we cannot represent our service as Music Therapy. Which of the services should I choose? Each of the services provided by Coloratura offers a different perspective on music, so the willingness of participants to experiment with music should determine which of the services to select. If participants are willing to play an active part in creating music, then a Participation session may be better for them. If participants would rather have a passive role in music, then a Performance session may be the better choice. In short, choose a service based on the comfort level of the participants!

Is there a certain order to do the services in?No, there is not a specific order to the services. They can be enjoyed in any order! However, we have created the idea of levels (based on engagement) for each of our sessions. Our Performance session has the least amount of engagement from the audience as you are listening to us, Rhea and Sruthi, play music. Our Participation session has a moderate amount of engagement from the audience as you are learning how to play music with other audience members.
